We built Pilot to be as simple as possible for you to add and delete things from your itinerary.
The easiest way to add new items is in the bottom bar of your trip planner page.
From left to right, you can select each of the icons as follows:
The globe will allow you to add a new destination to your itinerary. You can also type the letter D on your keyboard, or drag and drop the globe to your desired spot in your itinerary.
The H icon will allow you to add a new heading. You can also type the letter H on your keyboard, or drag and drop the H icon to the desired spot in your itinerary. If you just click or type it, the new heading will appear in the destination section currently selected in the globe dropdown.
The plane will allow you to add a new transportation section, but you can click the down arrow to switch to bus/train or "other" options (like driving) as well! You can also type the letter T on your keyboard, or drag and drop the transportation icon to the spot you want in your itinerary.
The bed will allow you to add a new accommodation section. You can also type the letter S on your keyboard, or drag and drop the bed to the spot you want in your itinerary.
The flag will allow you to add a new activity. You can also type the letter A on your keyboard, or drag and drop the flag to the spot you want in your itinerary.
Finally, the sparkle icon will allow you to open up our AI feature to get suggestions for activities in your locations. You can also access this by typing Command + K on your keyboard.
Here, you can type in what you're looking for, and our AI will automatically generate suggestions for you! You can then browse the options and directly add them to specific spotsin your itinerary via the Add to trip button dropdown.
You can also add certain items directly in the itinerary under a destination by clicking the respective buttons: Add Accommodations, +Activity, and +Heading.
Once items are added, you can drag and drop them into whichever order you like, by hovering on them and clicking & dragging this button below:
To delete something, hover over the box you want to delete and click the trashcan icon on the left. It’s that simple!
On the Map
Similarly, you can also add activities via the map itself! You can just search what you're looking for on the map and use the Add to trip dropdown button.
However, you can also delete pins from the map and have them still remain in your itinerary. Simply select "Delete map pin" from the map pin icon dropdown, and the location tag will be removed from the respective itinerary item.
You can also remove the location tag from the itinerary item by clicking into the activity and selecting the x on the location tag.
